I had the opportunity to chat with local artist Sean Kelley and talk more about how he became interested and the different mediums he works in. Basically hearing more about him personally and professionally. He stated his mother taught him at a young age and just kept going and dabbled in different mediums. “The very first thing I drew was ninja turtles and my mother was always interested in crafts,” Kelley says. His favorite medium is working on murals, but as he says the bread and butter would be prints as well. He’s sold prints at the Jewel Art Gallery in Ashland, Kentucky. Any free time he has, he’s always creating something. He’s currently working on the Tanks mural at the Ironton flood wall by the train tracks.
